Around seventy days ago I embarked on the route of the Money, Prayers & Abundance Tour — from home down to Florida, up the East Coast, through the Great Lakes region, and right back into the Midwest. I didn’t calculate the miles; I focused on the style. One can have many thoughts and come to many new revelations on a journey across the United States of America. Freedom is addictive as any drug. The will to set forth sovereign ideas and see them grow to form gives me a rush.
As the African proverb states: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
Although I did go pretty far, I chose to pursue this mission largely alone — with the reinforcement of artists at each stop along the way. I am grateful for the established network that allowed me to travel from state to state efficiently while pushing the mission further than I ever could on my own. Essentially, both speed and distance were covered.
No mission of this nature is possible without being rooted in faith that a higher power is always in control. Most artists could never route up, leave home for tour, and return successfully with no missed shows and very few mishaps. Thank the good Lord for the vinyl records and the fans who support and purchase — because without you, where would we be?
This lifestyle requires what I call radical belief in self. By that I mean an outstanding amount of faith and courage in the understanding that what you are doing is the correct thing — the thing that will lead you to the vision you have seen over and over in your mind. For some reason or another, we have mastered the art of making the impossible possible. With proper planning, anything can be executed. With true belief, anything can be achieved.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Money, Prayers & Abundance Tour — fans and artists alike. It provides me great joy to see these ideas through from conception to birth.
